She is leader of the Doctoral School of Human Sciences as well as director CHERD (Center for Higher Education research and Development). Her research interest includes four main topics: the influence of social contexts of schools, families and student networks on the academic career of students, the alternative resources of the cultural and the social capital in education as well as the effects of private education, denominational schools, and the ethnic minority context on students' achievement and the impacts of the restructuring of higher education.
